Celebrating a Century
Soko Hardware Co. celebrated their 100th Anniversary in 2026.
We were humbled to have in attendance San Francisco's Mayor Lurie, our newly arrived
Consul General of Japan Mr. Kotaro Otsuki, Supervisor Bilal Mahmood, Legacy Business Program Manager, Richard Kurylo, Japantown Merchants Association head Richard Hashimoto, our Japantown Community Benefit District Executive Director, Grace Horikiri, Deputy Director, Brandon Quan and many friends, neighbors present and past employees. We were deeply touched to have so many present at the proclaiming of September 27, 2026 as Soko Hardware Day! Many thanks, too, to Nikki Yoshikawa who organized and spearheaded this celebration and to our MC extraordinaire, Steve Nakajo.
